Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an amount of money that the government allocates to each school, to support all pupils to reach their potential. It is aimed at pupils who may also be in receipt of free school meals (FSM). It also includes pupils eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure- FSM6).

The Government believes that the Pupil Premium, which is additional to the main school funding, is the best way to address the current inequalities by ensuring funding reaches the pupils who need it most.

It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils at their school.

At Christ Church School we are committed to ensuring that all children flourish and we aim that all teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all children. We use our Pupil Premium funding to enable all FSM children and LAC children to be supported  academically and socially. We use the funding to provide opportunities that encourage them to aspire and achieve across all areas.
