Special Educational Needs
At Christ Church we recognise all children are entitled to a broad and balanced, inclusive education; we welcome children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. In line with our Vision to ensure that every child "flourishes", each child is valued and supported to the best of our ability to meet their individual needs.
Our nurturing environment, coupled with high expectations for all, enables our children to aspire and flourish to meet their potential. Our environment is tailored to meet the needs of all children through specific provision, including visual timetables and individualised teaching programmes. Our staff are well qualified and continue to receive up-to-date training to ensure children are supported. A strong and supportive partnership with parents is essential to the wellbeing and success of our children and this is something we welcome and encourage.
We have an Open Door policy, whereby class teachers are happy to speak with parents, and our SENDCo, Mrs Harry (Deputy Headteacher), is always available to meet with parents to talk through any concerns.
